# Source Quality Audit Template

Use this before asking AI to summarize sources or write fact-sensitive content.

## Copy-paste request

Before summarizing, audit each source first.

For every source, return:

- URL:
- Source type: primary / secondary / commentary / marketing / unknown
- Publication or update date:
- Author or organization:
- Possible incentive or bias:
- Direct evidence present: yes / no / partial
- Claims this source supports:
- Claims this source does not support:
- Confidence: high / medium / low
- What would disconfirm this claim:

Then write only the claims supported by the strongest sources. Separate verified facts from interpretation. If a source is stale, unclear, or incentive-heavy, label it before using it.

## Quick scoring

Score each source from 0 to 2:

- Primary evidence: 0/1/2
- Recency: 0/1/2
- Specificity: 0/1/2
- Author credibility: 0/1/2
- Incentive risk: 0/1/2, where 2 means low risk
- Direct claim support: 0/1/2

Prefer sources with the highest total score. Do not average away a critical weakness such as no direct evidence.

## Notes

For medical, legal, financial, safety, or public policy claims, prefer official or primary sources and get human review.
